Health Gorilla recently announced a partnership with Opear MD, a New York-based house call and telehealth platform, who will be leveraging Health Gorilla’s Patient360 API and interoperability platform. The Patient 360 platform powers a diverse set of use cases aligned with Opear MD’s services including telemedicine, remote patient monitoring and care coordination services.
Opear MD will also be able to leverage Health Gorilla’s massive national FHIR data platform, which ensures HIPAA compliance, continuously aggregates health data and provides permitted access to holistic and actionable clinical data. Access to this data will allow Opear MD providers to automatically match disparate data to a single patient, will remove duplicate data, consolidate multiple CCDs into one, and normalize data into FHIR resources.
This consolidated and actionable data will supply Opear’s top-of-the-line physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with a holistic view of their patients’ health records prior to their visit, allowing them to make more informed and timely treatment plans. This partnership will also allow patients to access their health records which will enhance their understanding of their health conditions and improve communication between them and their physicians. Overall, this partnership is a great step towards Health Gorilla’s ultimate goal to connect every provider, hospital, and vendor in the United States on a secure interoperable network.
